I recently left my cozy, winter retreat of Padre Island, and ventured back home to Minnesota. The week prior, I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at the impeccable Granberry Hills, located in San Antonio, Texas. The joys of being a destination wedding photographer- you get to see so many amazing wedding venues all over the country.
As my journey took me further north, I quickly second guessed my decision to drive as I was pummeled by ice storms and one massive blizzard. All I could think about though was how awesome a snow engagement session was going to be!
Tiffany and Travis were champs from start to finish and happily handled everything I had them do. Throwing snow in the air, laying down along an icy river, rubbing their cold noses together like a couple of high school kids.
When they asked if we could finish the session at a local brewery that held a special place in their heart, no wasn’t going to be an answer. We headed over to Dangerous Man Brewing, located near the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District and enjoyed some tasty microbrews and got in a few more photos.
Hiking, snow, and great beer- I can’t wait for the wedding!
